[Newsen Reporter Lee Hana] A heartwarming moment of Choo Sang-mi caring for her junior has been revealed through a making video.
On January 3, the MBC DRAMA Channel released a making video titled, "Though Kidnapped, the Kind(?) Mother-in-Law Choo Sang-mi and the Perfect Acting of Yoo Yeon-seok & Chae Soo-bin That Elevates Immersion 100%" for the MBC Friday-Saturday drama 'Your Phone is Ringing Right Now.'
In the video, a behind-the-scenes moment shows the conversation between Hee-joo (played by Chae Soo-bin) and her mother-in-law Gyu-jin (played by Choo Sang-mi), who are trapped in a storage room. Chae Soo-bin, who arrived on set early, focused on the details of her dialogues, and when Choo Sang-mi arrived, she cheerfully greeted her with, "Hello."
Choo Sang-mi responded with a bright smile, saying, "Hello. You've been working hard. I came here to kill you," which elicited laughter from everyone present.
As the rehearsal began in earnest, Choo Sang-mi suggested, regarding the script where Hee-joo was supposed to stand, “Can I sit? It might look like I’m pretending to care, but I think it could work.”
Chae Soo-bin also confirmed the details with the director, asking, “How many days have I been here like this?” showing her commitment to the role. After delivering her line, "You're trying to regret and grieve for the past days we couldn't be together," she shed tears and received the director's approval.
The scene where a kidnapper confronts Yoo Yeon-seok and Chae Soo-bin on their way to the hospital was also revealed. When the kidnapper aimed a gun at him, Yoo Yeon-seok continued his serious dialogue, flawlessly portraying a range of emotions that intensified with the whispers from the kidnapper. The director shouted "Cut!" and expressed his satisfaction with a "Perfect!", while the staff on-site applauded.
