Actor Ahn Se-ha Suspends Musical Performances Amid School Bullying Allegations

In a significant development, actor An Se-ha has decided to temporarily suspend his participation in the musical "A Gentleman's Guide: Love and Murder" amid ongoing allegations of school bullying.

Production company Show Note announced on the 12th that it deemed it inappropriate for An Se-ha to meet audiences through the performance until the situation is clarified. Consequently, the casting schedule for his upcoming performances has been altered, with actor Jung Moon-seong replacing An Se-ha for shows on the 19th and 24th, while Jeong Sang-hoon will take over the 27th performance. Although An Se-ha is still listed for the show on the 13th, his participation remains uncertain, as there has yet to be an official announcement.

The controversies surrounding An Se-ha have also affected his public engagements; the NC Dinos baseball team canceled his scheduled first pitch event on the 15th, agreeing that hosting it before the issue is resolved would not be appropriate. This controversy began when an individual claiming to be An Se-ha's middle school classmate alleged that he had been bullied by An during their school years. The accuser detailed this experience in an online community post, presenting it as a significant trauma that resurfaced with An’s public appearance.

In response to these allegations, An Se-ha's agency firmly denied the claims, asserting that he is a kind-hearted individual who has helped friends during difficult times. They emphasized their intent to pursue legal action against the accuser for defamation, confirming that An Se-ha is currently working with a lawyer to counter the allegations. This situation puts An Se-ha at a crossroads as he navigates both his career and the alleged past incidents.
