Actor Yoon Seung-ah recently shared her harrowing experience as a new mother dealing with her son’s bronchitis.
On October 17, Yoon revealed her struggles in a video titled "Daily Life of Working and Parenting: It's My First Time as a Mom" on her channel 'Seungah-roun.' She described how her son, Won, showed symptoms of a runny nose just before a trip to Yangyang, and upon arrival, his cold worsened, prompting a visit to a local hospital. Initially thinking it was a simple cold, she was surprised when his condition deteriorated that night, making it difficult for him to breathe.
The following day, Yoon took her son to a hospital in Seoul where he was recommended for hospitalization due to bronchitis. She learned that children under two could face breathing difficulties, and after confirming poor lung sounds during a checkup, her son was prescribed a nebulizer. Despite the common nature of the medication, it was out of stock everywhere, leading her to call around 30 pharmacies before finally obtaining it, which improved his symptoms the next day.
Yoon, reflecting on her experience, admitted that as a new mother, she often feels inadequate and struggles with the seriousness of illnesses, feeling guilty for not acting sooner. She expressed a desire to be a perfect parent but acknowledged her limitations in navigating these challenges.
Yoon Seung-ah married actor Kim Mu-yeol in 2015 and welcomed her son last year, adding another layer to her new journey as a mother.
