After a Decade Apart, Pungja Reunites with Father on SBS's 'Dolsingpo Man'

In a heartfelt episode of SBS's ‘Dolsing For Men,’ singer and comedian Pungja opens up about reuniting with her father after a decade-long estrangement.

During the September 10 broadcast, Pungja shared the emotional journey of reconnecting with her family. She revealed that her father, whom she described as "very conservative," had not been in contact with her since she was 19. After a decade of silence, a call from her father right before the holiday brought them back together, leading to a long-overdue family gathering.

Surprised by her father's age and appearance, Pungja confessed that their reunion was filled with unexpressed emotions, saying, "Neither of us could speak because we knew someone would cry." She reflected on the heartache of seeing her father so aged, noting that he mistook her for her deceased mother during their emotional conversation.

Pungja also shared that she had not seen her younger brother since he was in elementary school, and meeting him again after ten years was a significant experience. She described the moment as both strange and reassuring, as they slowly began to connect despite the years apart. The emotional walls between them seemed to gradually dissolve, marking a new chapter in their relationship.
