Attract has hinted at legal action concerning allegations of tampering involving former members of the K-pop group, Fifty Fifty.
On September 13, Attract announced that they have gathered legal evidence against Warner Music Korea, The Givers, and former members Aran, Saena, and Sio for colluding to breach their exclusive contracts. They detailed that they obtained meeting records from voice calls dated May 13, May 17, and June 6, 2023. These discussions culminated in a legal move on June 19, aimed at suspending the effects of their contracts with Attract.
Attract further claimed that complaints regarding health management, lack of support, and issues with settlements raised by Aran, Saena, and Sio were proven false through court proceedings. They asserted that the former members acted unlawfully only to terminate their contracts, distorting the truth and misleading the public. This prompted Attract to accuse Warner Music Korea of attempting to illegally seize their artists by leveraging financial power and influence.
In light of these developments, Attract expressed their commitment to combating the overwhelming strength of such large corporations and their negative impact on K-pop. They emphasized the importance of partnerships with global label companies for the continuous growth of the K-pop industry. Looking ahead, Attract plans to explore legal actions against Warner Music Korea and those involved in the alleged tampering.
Meanwhile, the ex-Fifty Fifty members Saena, Aran, and Sio, who are embroiled in legal disputes with Attract, have announced their contract signing with the label Massive VNC under iO K Company, indicating their readiness to kickstart their activities. In contrast, Kyuna, who returned to Attract, is preparing for a comeback with new members Hana, Athena, Moon Chanel, and Yewon as the new face of Fifty Fifty.
