On August 9, during the 'BORN PINK IN CINEMAS' pink carpet event in Seoul, Jennie's agency, OA Entertainment, clarified that the name "Rubies" is not her official fandom name, but simply a news page intended for updates. Although Jennie referred to her fans as "Ruby" in a voice message, the agency quickly dispelled the notion that this was an official designation, especially due to the overlap with another artist's fandom name. The swift response from Jennie's team aimed to mitigate any misunderstandings among fans.
In addition to clarifying her fan name, Jennie also addressed dating rumors with BamBam. Reports circulated on social media suggesting the two were spotted together at a popular Japanese restaurant in Los Angeles, fueling speculation about their relationship.
