Korean broadcaster Choi Dong-seok has taken legal action against his ex-wife Park Ji-yoon, claiming he can no longer tolerate her alleged infidelity.
According to recent reports, Choi has consistently asserted that Park's affair led to the breakdown of their marriage, which ended last October after 14 years. He had previously chosen not to pursue legal action regarding the affair, citing their children as his primary concern. Park's representatives have yet to provide an official response, stating they are still gathering facts about the claims.
In June, while undergoing divorce mediation, Park filed a lawsuit against Choi’s acquaintance for damages related to the alleged affair. A preliminary hearing took place in August, and the next is scheduled for this month. Following the news of Park’s lawsuit, Choi filed a counterclaim, stating that his last communication with the acquaintance occurred in February.
Both Choi and Park, who were colleagues at KBS, married in 2009 and share a son and daughter. Currently, they are navigating a divorce settlement amid ongoing disputes regarding custody. This high-profile case continues to capture public attention within the realm of Korean entertainment.
