According to Korean media, BTS member Jin has successfully completed his role as a torchbearer.

On the 14th (local time), Jin participated in the torch relay for the '2024 Paris Summer Olympics'. Through his agency, Big Hit Music, Jin expressed, "It is an honor to participate in such a meaningful moment. I could carry out the great role of a torchbearer thanks to ARMY (fandom name). I am very grateful." He added, "I was so nervous that I didn't know how time passed, but thanks to the loud cheers from many people on site, I was able to do my best."

He continued, "I hope that all the South Korean national team members will achieve good results as much as they have worked hard, and I will cheer for them with all my heart. I also hope that there will be a lot of interest in the '17th Paris Paralympics' to be held this August." Finally, he added, "I will also work harder and show you a better side of myself."

The event site was crowded with people who had gathered to cheer for Jin even before he appeared. Those gathered on the street displayed their excitement by holding banners with Jin's name and chanting his name.

When Jin appeared on Rivoli Street, the atmosphere reached its peak. Dressed in the official white torch relay uniform, Jin showcased his unique visual presence that lit up Paris. As he received the Olympic torch from the preceding runner who arrived on a bicycle, loud cheers and applause erupted from the streets.

Jin continued the torch relay as a runner connecting meaningful sections in Paris, carrying the torch from the Rivoli Street intersection to Carrousel Square. In front of the Louvre Museum's pyramid, he handed over the torch to Sandra Laoura, a former French freestyle skiing national team member. After completing the torch relay, which lasted about 10 minutes, he waved to the gathered audience and concluded his role.

The torch relay for the '2024 Paris Summer Olympics' began last April in Olympia, Greece, and will travel through 64 regions, including urban and coastal areas of France, until the opening day on the 26th. Jin and the torchbearers spread messages of 'harmony' and 'peace' while touring historical sites symbolizing the host country.
