According to Korean media, Jungkook of the group BTS has broken into the U.S. Billboard 'Hot 100' with a fan song.

On the 17th (local time), U.S. music media Billboard announced via its official X (formerly Twitter) and website that Jungkook's digital single 'Never Let Go,' released on the 7th, had entered the main song chart 'Hot 100' (as of June 22) at No. 97.

With this, Jungkook has entered the 'Hot 100' for the seventh time with solo songs, setting a new record for the most entries by a K-pop solo artist. He is also the only Korean solo artist to have three songs in the Top 10 of the 'Hot 100'.

'Never Let Go' is a fan song released as part of the 'FESTA' celebration, commemorating BTS's debut date (June 13). The English song, based on a house rhythm, carries the message "Let's never let go of each other's hands." Jungkook participated in the overall songwriting and composing process, showcasing his artistic talents.

'Never Let Go' has proven Jungkook and BTS's enduring global popularity by making it to the 'Hot 100' based on its streaming numbers and lyric video views, even without official promotional activities.

Previously, Jungkook has entered the 'Hot 100' with the OST 'Stay Alive (Prod. SUGA of BTS)' (No. 95) from the 2022 HYBE original story '7FATES: CHAKHO,' the collaboration song 'Left and Right (Feat. Jung Kook of BTS)' (No. 22) with Charlie Puth, his solo single 'Seven (feat. Latto)' (No. 1) released in 2023, '3D (feat. Jack Harlow)' (No. 5), the collaboration song 'TOO MUCH' (No. 44) with The Kid LAROI and Central Cee, and the title track 'Standing Next to You' (No. 5) from his solo album 'GOLDEN.'

'Never Let Go' also ranked No. 60 on the UK Official Chart, which, along with the Billboard chart, is one of the two major music charts in the world. Jungkook has set a new record for the most chart entries by a K-pop solo artist on the Official Chart as well, with seven solo entries in total. He continues to demonstrate his remarkable endurance by continually breaking new records on global charts.
