Controversy Erupts as Actor Ahn Se-ha Faces School Violence Allegations, Yet Performs in Musical Despite Suspension Announcement

Controversy erupts as musical star Ahn Se Ha faces allegations of school bullying while still set to perform.

Despite the production company, ShowNote, announcing a change in Ahn Se Ha's casting schedule due to the controversy surrounding him, he is still confirmed to perform on September 13. The changes primarily affect performances on September 19, 24, and 27, where other actors will take over his roles. Ahn Se Ha has been portraying the character Daisquse in the musical "A Gentleman's Guide: To Love and Murder."

The allegations began when an individual identifying as a former classmate accused Ahn Se Ha of past bullying behaviors in an online post. Following the claims, Ahn's agency, Hunus Entertainment, firmly denied the allegations and hinted at legal action against those spreading false information. Despite these denials, additional claims have emerged from other former classmates, escalating the situation further.

In light of the ongoing controversy, a scheduled ceremonial first pitch event on September 15 has also been canceled to ensure appropriateness before all issues are settled. NC Dinos, the baseball team involved, expressed support for this decision, emphasizing the importance of addressing the actor's ongoing concerns. Additionally, Ahn's wife’s lunchbox business is reportedly closed during this tumultuous period.

Ahn Se Ha and his wife, Jeon Eun Ji, previously showcased their lives on SBS's "Same Bed, Different Dreams 2," where they shared their experiences running the lunchbox shop. As tension builds around the actor, the public remains watchful of developments regarding both his career and personal life.
