Davichi's Label WMMM Faces Plagiarism Allegations, Considers Brand Name Change

The K-pop label WMMM, associated with the group Davichi, is currently facing allegations of trademark infringement regarding its brand name. On October 14, WMMM representatives stated, "While contemplating a name for our new agency, we checked trademark registration and adopted the phrase. After announcing the brand name, we became aware of the situation and are considering a change." They emphasized their commitment to creating quality music and content with their artists despite being a nascent company. Earlier, a former employee of the past label Magic Strawberry Sound raised concerns, claiming that WMMM's slogan had originated from their team. They shared on Instagram, "WE MAKE MAGICAL MOMENT was a slogan created by my team at Magic Strawberry Sound. Hearing that it has now become the name of a new label feels inappropriate under any circumstance." As this situation unfolds, WMMM's decision on the potential rebranding will be closely monitored by fans and industry insiders alike.
