According to Korean media, singer G-Dragon will be appointed as a special professor at KAIST.
On the 5th, according to OSEN's coverage, G-Dragon will receive the appointment letter after the 'Innovate Korea 2024' talk show held at the Ryu Geun-chul Sports Complex at KAIST's main campus in Yuseong-gu, Daejeon.
'Innovate Korea 2024' is an event hosted by KAIST, the National Research Council of Science & Technology (NST), and Herald Media Group. G-Dragon will participate in the talk show along with KAIST President Lee Kwang-hyung and Choi Yong-ho, Chief Happiness Officer (CHO) of his agency, Galaxy Corporation.
During the talk show, G-Dragon is expected to discuss the future of K-pop by integrating AI technology with K-content. There is also anticipation that he might reveal details about his upcoming comeback and new album scheduled for later this year.
G-Dragon has shown interest in AI technology since signing with Galaxy Corporation in December last year. In January, he attended CES 2024, the world's largest electronics and IT exhibition held in Las Vegas, USA.
Meanwhile, G-Dragon is preparing for a comeback with a new album aimed for release in the second half of this year. This will be his first solo album in approximately seven years since 2017.
