Former DAY6 Member Jay Opens Up About Heartache Over Band's Final EP and Feelings of Being Erased from Their History

Former DAY6 member Jae recently expressed his emotional struggles regarding the band during a radio interview.

While appearing on the popular U.S. radio show "The Zach Sang Show," Jae spoke candidly about his feelings towards DAY6's final EP, "Forever." He admitted that it "hurt a little" to see the group's related activities and that it brought back many memories, making it difficult for him to return to Korea. Jae noted that he felt a sense of erasure from the band's history, describing the experience as painful, though he does not view it as inherently negative.

Jae elaborated on his frustrations, stating that it seems like the efforts he made to promote the band are being forgotten, mentioning that such feelings are directed at the label rather than the members. He reflected on the time he spent writing songs and growing up with the group, emphasizing the sense of loss. Despite these feelings, he concluded with well wishes for DAY6's future.

Originally born in Argentina, Jae holds dual citizenship in the United States and Argentina. He debuted with DAY6 in 2015 but departed from the group on December 31, 2022, after leaving JYP Entertainment.
