KBS Announcers Lead 'Countdown Show'
(Xports News, Lee Yejin reporter) KBS's renowned announcers will take the helm of the 'Countdown Show.'
On the 13th, KBS announced that "Announcer Hong Joo-yeon has been selected as the main MC for the 'KBS 2025 Countdown Show LIGHT NOW' (Directed by Go Gook-jin, with composition by Jung In-hae, Jung Da-young, Kim Hye-rim, Kang Eun-sil, Kim Eun-sol, and Kim Soo-ah, hereafter referred to as 'Countdown Show')."
Hong Joo-yeon joined KBS as part of the 48th batch of announcers and has hosted a variety of news programs, including 'KBS News Plaza.' Currently, she is communicating with listeners as a DJ on KBS Cool FM's 'Station Zero' and 'Era of Sound.'
Notably, during the '2024 Paris Olympics,' Hong Joo-yeon earned the nickname 'Goddess of the Paris Olympics' for delivering local news with vivid detail. Recently, she has been making a name for herself as a next-generation MC through her appearances on KBS 2TV's entertainment program 'Boss's Ears are Donkey Ears.'
Alongside her, KBS Announcer Jung Eun-hye, who is drawing attention for her outstanding beauty and skills, is expected to enhance the show's energy by conducting citizen interviews during the 'Countdown Show.'
The 'Countdown Show' will be a festive event bringing together the last day of 2024 and the beginning of 2025, set to take place on December 31 at the outdoor stage in front of Shinsegae Main Store in Myeongdong, Seoul. It aims to establish its place as the holy ground for New Year countdown celebrations in Korea, showcasing videos and performances that can be enjoyed globally.
Previously, a diverse lineup of K-pop artists, including Park Jin-young (J.Y. Park), Byul, 2AM, Jannabi, Stella Jang, Choi Yu-ri, Xdinary Heroes, Kep1er, Xikers, ALL(H)OURS, NOWADAYS, BADVILLAIN, and SAY MY NAME, have confirmed their appearances, further exciting global fans.
The 'KBS 2025 Countdown Show LIGHT NOW' will allow fans to apply for audience tickets starting Friday, the 13th, at 3 PM through the KBS website. Those attending will receive LED knuckles and two large hot packs. The broadcast will be streamed live starting at 11 PM on December 31 on KBS 2TV, KBS KPOP, and the KBS Enter YouTube channel.
Meanwhile, Hong Joo-yeon has recently stirred interest by displaying a subtle romantic vibe with Jeon Hyun-moo on KBS 2TV's 'Boss's Ears are Donkey Ears' aired on the 8th.
