Hwasa Opens Up About Collaborating with Psy on New Single NA and Her Artistic Vision

In a recent interview, singer Hwasa candidly shared her thoughts on collaborating with Psy for her new project.

During her appearance on SBS Power FM's "Cultwo Show," Hwasa discussed how Psy's influence can be felt in her latest track "NA." She clarified that while she didn't participate in the title song, Psy made significant contributions, giving it his distinct flair. Despite suggestions from others that Psy might have imposed his style, Hwasa emphasized that their collaboration was a mutual agreement to enhance the song.

Initially, Hwasa revealed that she turned down the track, expressing to Psy that she felt disappointed. She stated her commitment to honesty in her artistry, noting that, as the performer, it was crucial for her to be transparent about her feelings, even if it meant hurting Psy's pride. Their conversation eventually led to a new composition that matches her artistic vision, showcasing their strong partnership.

Hwasa also recounted an amusing experience while filming a music video in Paris, where she encountered unexpected fan presence. She remarked that despite thinking no fans were around, she learned they had been discreetly observing. This humorous situation underlined the often-surprising interactions between artists and their supporters.

After parting ways with RBW Entertainment, Hwasa signed with Psy's P Nation last year and is gearing up to release her second mini-album, "O," featuring the title track "NA." The album promises to showcase her positive attitude, with a total of seven tracks that reflect her unique storyline and self-empowerment. Through "NA," Hwasa aims to inspire confidence and authenticity, free from societal judgments.
