Jaurim's Kim Yoon-ah Shares Uplifting Update from Hospital Bed as She Battles Aftereffects of Brain Nerve Paralysis

Kim Yuna from the legendary K-pop band Jaurim has shared an update on her health after battling neurological issues.

On the 1st of the month, she posted on her Instagram Story, expressing positivity with comments like "Battery Day" and "Let's fight this month too," alongside two photos. In the images, Yuna is seen lying in a hospital bed receiving IV treatment; despite looking noticeably thinner, her positive energy resonates deeply with fans. Previously, Yuna revealed that she suffers from vocal disabilities as a result of her battle with neurological paralysis.

In a recent YouTube appearance on 'Sebasi Lecture', she explained that her condition stemmed from an immune deficiency that significantly weakened her health. After being diagnosed with neurological paralysis in 2011, following the release of her eighth album, she continues to undergo monthly treatments. She disclosed, "The paralysis affected my senses and upper body muscles, leaving lingering issues, including vocal challenges that I strive to manage."

Yuna has been married to dentist and broadcaster Kim Hyung-kyu since 2006 and they have a son together.
