On January 5th, singer Beomjin shared his New Year's greetings on the SBS Power FM show 'Kim Young-chul's Power FM' (also known as 'Cheolpaem').
Beomjin appeared on the show, which started at 7 AM, where he engaged in a lively discussion with DJ Kim Young-chul and singer-songwriter Yezel. This was Beomjin’s first time on 'Cheolpaem', which garnered considerable interest from listeners. During his introduction, he warmly wished everyone, saying, “Happy New Year!”, sharing sweet New Year’s greetings with the audience.
Additionally, Beomjin revealed his connection with Yezel, which piqued the listeners' curiosity. He mentioned, “I got to know Yezel through the ‘Yu Jaehwa Music Competition,' and we keep in touch from time to time,” creating a cheerful atmosphere. When Kim Young-chul inquired about Beomjin's upcoming performances, he shared that he would be performing in Osaka, Japan, on the 11th and 12th, much to everyone's delight. Beomjin also expressed his personal goal for 2025, stating, “I want to study Japanese diligently and earn a certification,” showcasing his affection for his performances and Japanese fans.
Moreover, Beomjin introduced the title track 'Naite' from his recently released first full-length album on 'Cheolpaem'. He further warmed the atmosphere by listening to listeners’ stories and recommending music. As the conversation turned towards the youngest siblings in families, Beomjin noted, “I am also the youngest,” and revealed that there is a 17-year age gap between him and his older sister, singer Jinju—a detail that caught attention.
As he wrapped up his segment, Beomjin expressed his admiration for Kim Young-chul, saying, “(Senior Kim Young-chul) is really amazing in person. It’s impressive that you host the radio every day. I listen to 'Cheolpaem' on my way to work every day,” sending his support to the DJ.
Meanwhile, Beomjin will hold his concert titled 'KR TRAIN FOR OSAKA, BALLAD LINE VOL.2' in Osaka, Japan, on the 11th and 12th.
