YG Entertainment's new girl group, Baby Monster, has faced a setback as their double title track "CLIK CLAK" was deemed unsuitable for broadcast by KBS.
On October 6, it was confirmed by IZE that the KBS music review classified "CLIK CLAK" from Baby Monster's debut album "DRIP" as ineligible for airing. The rejection stemmed from lyrics that violated broadcasting regulations by mentioning a specific product brand, which is against Article 46 regarding advertising effects. In contrast, the other double title track "DRIP," along with several songs on the album, received approval.
"CLIK CLAK" was released ahead of the album launch, generating significant buzz with its music video amassing over 10 million views in just 21 hours after its premiere on YouTube. Following the release of their first album, Baby Monster is expected to engage in various promotional activities across music shows and radio platforms.
Meanwhile, KBS’s review process also found other songs unsuitable for broadcast, including Baming Tiger's "Cunning City" for the use of profanity, and Snake Chicken Soup's "K!LL ME" for glorifying violence, showcasing the strict standards of KBS in evaluating music content.
