The two artists performed a stunning cover of Valérie Brouchard's "Killer" at the '2024 SBS Gayo Daejeon' held on December 25. The collaboration between these two representatives of K-pop girl groups drew enthusiastic attention even before the event, and their performance showcased unique styles: Karina donned an off-shoulder red velvet outfit while Yujin sported a bold all-black leather top, perfectly embodying a girl crush aesthetic.
"When the production team first suggested a collaboration stage, I immediately thought of Karina. I wanted to convey my feelings directly rather than going through the company, so I got her number. But then, I suddenly lost my courage," Yujin shared with sincerity.
Yujin also revealed, “While I was hesitant, I heard through the company that Karina was also interested in collaborating with me. That gave me the courage I needed, and then Karina reached out to me. At that moment, she became my treasure, and I didn't want to let her go.”
Karina also expressed her warm relationship with Yujin to the fans. She humorously remarked, “Yujin is sharing stories on ‘Bubble’. Does she not realize she’s trending in my algorithm since she entered my treasure box?”
"Let me share a quick story as well," Karina continued. "I picked the song, and Yujin was chosen for the combination. While watching Yujin's concert, I thought, ‘Wow, this girl can pull off pop songs too!’ It turned out perfectly that I was able to collaborate with Yujin, so I brought out the hidden gem from my song treasure chest.”
She added with a smile, “It felt like a perfect match, right? But she's just so cute.”
On December 27, Karina posted several behind-the-scenes photos from their stage performance at the '2024 SBS Gayo Daejeon' on her social media accounts, alongside the caption 'With Popo' (포포와).
