Kep1er Releases Final Album as 9-Member Group, Significant for Fans

Kep1er Shares Thoughts on Their Comeback

According to a Korean media report, the group Kep1er has shared their feelings about their comeback.

On the 3rd, at the YES24 Live Hall in Gwangjin, Seoul, Kep1er held a showcase for their first full album 'Keep Going On'. The group expressed, "This album is meaningful for us and our fans."

Returning to the music scene after about 9 months, Kep1er released their first full album since their debut. Notably, Kep1er is the first project group created through Mnet's audition program to successfully renew their contract and continue their activities. However, Kang Ye-seo and Mashiro have decided to leave Kep1er and embark on new journeys, making this album their last with the group. Additionally, this will be the last album where Kep1er will perform as a 9-member group.

Given its significance, this first full album commemorates the time shared between Kep1er and their official fandom, Kep1ian, and symbolizes their journey towards their dreams. Hikaru stated, "It's been about 9 months since our last comeback, and we want to show a more matured version of ourselves as much as our fans have waited."

Choi Yu-jin added, "We have grown through our past activities, and this album is meaningful for both us and our fans. As our first full album in Korea, we tried to incorporate the skills we've accumulated over two and a half years and included a variety of songs."

Kang Ye-seo said, "Thanks to the love and support from Kep1ians, we were able to release this full album. We worked hard to prepare and will show a great performance." Kim Chae-hyun introduced the new album, "It's our comeback in Korea after 9 months, so I'm very nervous and excited. We discussed a lot with the members while working on each song for this album."

Huening Bahiyyih mentioned, "We included genres we haven't shown before, and I think fans will like it." Mashiro commented, "If our previous songs were energetic, this time we focused a lot on emotions. You will see our musical growth as much as we have worked hard. I'm happy to return with an album that includes various songs. I hope many people listen to and enjoy it."

The title track 'Shooting Star' is a synth-pop song characterized by its rhythmic drums, emotional synth lines, and electric guitar, expressing the earnest feelings towards Kep1ians. The song continues Kep1er's storytelling seen in tracks like 'Planet' and 'Galileo', with choreography that visually represents light and stars, creating an addictive point. Kim Chae-hyun hinted, "You will feel delicate emotional lines."

Kim Da-yeon, who tried rap-making for the first time with 'Shooting Star', revealed, "I received feedback while recording during our Japan schedule. I'm grateful that Hikaru executed it well," showcasing her musical prowess.

Furthermore, the music video teaser has already revealed part of the point choreography, raising expectations for the main stage. Given the impactful point choreography in their previous works like 'Kenyangi' and 'Three Leo', fans are showing significant interest in the new routine.

Chae-yeon explained the point performance, "There are many movements emphasizing light and stars, expressed through hand movements." Hikaru added, "There’s a sound of taking pictures, and I hope you pay attention to that part."

Kep1er's first full album 'Keep Going On' will be released on various music sites at 6 PM on the 3rd.
