In a surprising revelation, singer Kim Jae-joong has opened up about his adoption story, grabbing attention across social media.
During the recent episode of MBC's 'Radio Star', Kim shared that he was adopted by a wealthy family at the age of three, and he discovered this fact only after debuting with TVXQ. He mentioned that he has eight sisters, all of whom are married, leading to a large extended family of 32 members when they gather. Kim humorously added that while they can all meet, having a simultaneous meal poses a challenge, prompting them to split into three groups for dining.
Kim also expressed his positive take on having numerous sisters, stating that they help with childcare and that he can receive hand-me-downs for his nieces and nephews. He remarked that he has made promises to ensure that there won't be any discord within the family.
This revelation has also brought Kim's biological mother back into the spotlight, as she previously discussed her hardships on the TV show 'Daechan Life' in 2013. She explained that after divorcing at a young age, she struggled with financial difficulties and had to send her son away, not realizing it would lead to his adoption.
Over twenty years later, she met her son, now a K-pop star, only to face backlash and misunderstandings once the truth about their relationship was revealed. To help others with similar family struggles, she is currently living her second life as the head of 'Korea Family Guardian'.
