Kim Jun-ho Pays Tribute to Victims of Jeju Air Tragedy

Former national fencing representative Kim Jun-ho, who is married to a flight attendant, commemorated the victims of the Jeju Air tragedy.

On December 30, Kim Jun-ho posted on his social media,

“I pray for the souls of the victims of the Jeju Air passenger plane tragedy and extend my deepest condolences and sympathies to the bereaved families.”

Along with his message, he shared a photograph of chrysanthemum flowers, symbolizing mourning, which elicited a poignant response from followers.

On the morning of December 29, at 9:03 AM, a Jeju Air flight (7C2216) originating from Bangkok, Thailand, encountered an accident while attempting to land at Muan International Airport, colliding with the runway's outer wall.

The flight carried a total of 181 individuals, including 6 crew members and 175 passengers. Tragically, all but 2 crew members perished in the accident, resulting in 179 fatalities. In response, the government has designated a national mourning period from December 30 to January 4, until midnight.

Meanwhile, Kim Jun-ho married flight attendant Yoo Jeong-hyun, who is 5 years his senior, in 2018, and they have two sons together. The family has captured the hearts of many viewers by sharing their daily lives on KBS 2TV's show "Return of Superman."
