On January 3rd, Kim Woo-ri posted a video on his social media along with the caption, “The people we need to tackle first are the red (빨갱이) ones.”
The video showcased numerous individuals holding the South Korean flag (태극기) and the American flag (성조기), demonstrating against the impeachment of President Yoon and trying to prevent his arrest.
In the video, one speaker remarked, “Regarding President Yoon’s statement that the Democratic Party of Korea is an anti-national force, American attorney Gordon Chang also said that this assessment is correct,” defending President Yoon.

Reactions from netizens to Kim Woo-ri's post were mixed. When one user commented, “Who are the reds? The people holding the American flags?” Kim Woo-ri replied, “Do you really need to ask that? If you are a citizen of South Korea, you should know that the reds are the primary enemy!”
Recently, both Kim Heung-guk and JK Kim Dong-wook have also expressed their support for President Yoon through their own statements. On the 2nd of January, Kim Heung-guk attended a rally near the presidential residence in Hannam-dong, Yongsan District, titled “Rally Against Illegal Arrest of President Yoon.” He stated, “I don’t understand why South Korea has come to this. This week is critical for protecting our country and President Yoon. If we can just unite a bit more, we can save South Korea.” He added, “I respect and love those shouting ‘Legitimacy of Martial Law, Invalidity of Impeachment.’ You are the masters of South Korea. I call upon all former and current marines across the country and globe to gather in Hannam-dong.”
Following this, Kim Heung-guk clashed with netizens after one commented, “After the Cha Seong-byeong incident, marine comrades decided no longer to recognize Kim Heung-guk as one of us. Please don’t refer to us in political gatherings anymore.” Kim Heung-guk countered, “Are you the only marines?” engaging in a back-and-forth with users.
JK Kim Dong-wook also voiced his opinion on social media on the 3rd, sharing a photo with the South Korean and American flags, stating, “Protecting the president is the way to protect the country. Who is the GPO (공수처, Korea's Corruption Investigation Agency)?”
