Kim Yong-gun Becomes an Adoptive Father Figure to Shin Seong-woo During Heartfelt 'Father-Son' Journey on TV

In a heartwarming episode of Channel A's "Dad is a Flower Middle-aged Man," actor Kim Yong-gun supports fellow actor Shin Sung-woo as he undergoes eye surgery, leading to a touching father-son bonding experience.

During the episode, 58-year-old Shin Sung-woo makes the decision to get surgery for presbyopia, bringing along 78-year-old Kim Yong-gun as his guardian. At a hospital in Cheonan, both actors surprised everyone when Kim's vision proved to be better than Shin's. Despite initial hesitation about the surgery, Shin found reassurance in Kim's support and successfully completed the procedure.

After the surgery, the duo embarked on a "Yong-gun Tour" to revitalize Shin’s look, starting with a visit to Kim's favorite barbershop, followed by a fashion shopping spree. There, with Kim’s guidance, Shin underwent a transformation that included a lavish outfit costing approximately 1.65 million won, which left him speechless. Their adventure also included a meal at a renowned restaurant, where Shin expressed his emotional struggles.

Reflecting on the day, Shin recalled fond memories of his father, realizing the depth of the connection shared with Kim. He expressed gratitude for the meaningful day, likening it to a feeling of having his father by his side. Kim also conveyed a heartfelt message, reminding Shin that he is always there for him.
