The late actress Kim Soo-mi was reportedly in the process of authoring a book to reflect on her life before her passing.
According to her son, Jeong Myung-ho, who is the director at Napal Kkot F&B, Kim was writing a book titled "Goodbye." He mentioned that she had written numerous drafts by hand, filled with messages of support and encouragement for younger actors. The book also contained her aspirations to engage in charitable activities focused on food after retirement.
Jeong highlighted that Kim, who had a deep affection for her junior colleagues, offered valuable advice regarding perseverance in the acting industry, encouraging them not to give up during tough times. Her messages included wisdom from her own journey as a supporting actress, reflecting on the challenges she faced.
In a heartfelt tribute, Jeong shared that his mother passed away on the morning of the 25th, suffering from hyperglycemic shock. He expressed gratitude to everyone who loved her throughout her long career, from her iconic role as 'Il-yong Eomni' in "My Life's Work" to her recent success with "Soomi's Side Dishes."
