Lee Young-ji Sparks Controversy with Remarks Allegedly Targeting BTS's Suga Amid His Drunk Driving Scandal

Controversy has erupted as singer Lee Young-ji appears to have targeted BTS member Suga over a recent incident.

On October 24, Lee Young-ji released a video titled "Lee Soo-hyuk is a True Fan of Lee Young-ji" on her YouTube channel. Before the actor Lee Soo-hyuk made his appearance, Lee Young-ji promoted an alcoholic beverage, cautioning viewers that drinking it before riding a bike constitutes drunk driving. This sparked speculation that her comments were aimed at Suga, who recently faced allegations of drunk driving after falling from an electric scooter.

Suga was reportedly operating the scooter on the night of October 6 when he fell, with his blood alcohol concentration measured at 0.227%, significantly above the legal limit. Following the incident, he attended the Yongsan Police Station for about three hours of questioning and admitted to the charges against him. Subsequently, Suga issued a handwritten apology, expressing deep regret for disappointing fans and acknowledging the responsibility he bears for his actions.

In his apology, Suga emphasized how his behavior caused distress to both his members and fans, admitting to riding the electric scooter on the sidewalk after consuming alcohol. He also apologized for the confusion caused by his hastily written initial apology. This latest issue continues to draw attention to the consequences of celebrity actions and the expectations from fans.
