Mamamoo's Moonbyul Reflects on Dreaming of Entertainment Leadership Before Realizing It's Not for Her

In a recent episode of the web show "One Ride," Mamamoo's Moonbyul shared her long-standing dream of becoming an entertainment representative.

During the episode, which aired on the YouTube channel "VIVO TV," Moonbyul discussed various topics with host Song Eun-yi. She recounted a time when Song captured and posted negative comments from her YouTube channel on social media, highlighting how Moonbyul gracefully handled criticism. Song shared her advice, comparing negative comments to trash that doesn’t need to be kept; instead, they should just be discarded.

Moonbyul also revealed that she once aspired to be a representative of a company, expressing her interest in nurturing talent and managing projects. She said, "After seeing the struggles of our CEO, I realized that being a representative is not for me," noting the heavy responsibilities that come with the role. This reflection took her by surprise, as she initially thought it would be an exciting position.

When asked about the timing of her dream to be a representative, Moonbyul mentioned that her focus shifted toward her singing career during middle school, but she still harbored ambitions of nurturing talent. After becoming an artist, she also considered working in management because of her passion. However, Song jokingly pointed out that Moonbyul is known for leaving music shows early, implying that she might not handle the time commitment of a CEO role.

In response, Moonbyul laughed and stated that her preference lies in supporting someone else, aiming for a position like a director instead. This candid conversation highlighted her realistic approach to the entertainment industry and her desire to prioritize her well-being.
