New CEO Lee Jae-sang Addresses Ador Controversy

Lee Jae-sang, the newly appointed CEO of HYBE, has spoken out regarding the ongoing controversy surrounding Ador.

On the 12th, HYBE held an extraordinary general meeting and board meeting to officially appoint Lee as CEO. During the meeting, the proposal for Lee’s appointment as an internal director was passed as planned. Following his appointment, Lee announced that they would respond calmly and according to principles in relation to NewJeans' recent live broadcast.

On the afternoon of the 11th, NewJeans conducted a live broadcast titled “What NewJeans Wants to Say” on their newly launched YouTube channel ‘nwjns’. This broadcast came amid internal strife at Ador, including the replacement of the CEO, where NewJeans expressed discomfort and voiced dissatisfaction towards HYBE. Additionally, they directly called for the reinstatement of former CEO Min Hee-jin to her position.

As the situation unfolds, it remains to be seen how both HYBE and Ador will navigate these challenges in the K-pop industry.
