NewJeans Member Danielle's Sister Olivia Marsh Set to Debut as a Singer with Global Label MPLIFY

New Girl Group Sensation: Olivia Marsh Debuts as a Singer

In an exciting development, Olivia Marsh, the older sister of NewJeans member Danielle, is set to make her debut as a singer. Warner Music Korea recently announced her joining the newly launched global label MPLIFY, highlighting her as a remarkable talent. Olivia, known by her Korean name Mokyuna, holds dual citizenship in Australia and South Korea.

MPLIFY praised Olivia Marsh as an "Australian singer-songwriter with exceptional talent and originality." It was also noted that she has been honing her skills through collaborations with K-pop producers and songwriters. Fans can look forward to her official debut, scheduled for October.

Olivia expressed her excitement in a statement, saying, "I'm thrilled to embark on this new journey and can’t wait to share my music with everyone." This follows earlier news from April, when it was reported that Danielle's sister had already made a splash as a singer under the stage name GYUNA, performing the OST "LAVA" for the Coupang Play original series "Hide."

Five months later, her agency has officially confirmed her singer debut alongside a contract. While she initially performed as GYUNA, she will now be active as Olivia Marsh. Meanwhile, her sister Danielle and the NewJeans group are experiencing challenges, particularly with the prolonged conflict within their label HYBE, leading to the dismissal of CEO Min Hee-jin.

On November 11, the NewJeans members conducted an unscheduled live broadcast, demanding a return to normalcy at the agency. They called for Min Hee-jin to be reinstated, urging Chairman Bang Si-hyuk to make a wise decision by the 25th. This tense situation is unfolding as fans eagerly await Olivia's musical journey.
