Comedian Park Na-rae Confesses Jealousy Towards Close Friend Jang Do-yeon
According to a Korean media outlet, comedian Park Na-rae has confessed her feelings of jealousy towards her close friend and fellow comedian Jang Do-yeon.
In the LG U+ Mobile TV original entertainment show 'Talk Honestly - Let's Be On My Side' Season 3 (hereinafter referred to as 'Let's Be On My Side 3'), which was released on the 6th, a story was introduced about a girlfriend who is fiercely competitive with her boyfriend in various aspects such as English test scores, walking exercise apps, and karaoke scores.
Regarding this story, Bada, the winner of the dance competition program 'Street Woman Fighter 2', shared a behind-the-scenes story of her one-on-one dance battle with world-renowned dancer Kirsten, saying, "Even if I lose, I just have to show everything I've got." This piqued the interest of the supporting MCs.
When the topic of the talk shifted to whether anyone had ever felt jealous of someone, Park Na-rae admitted, "I have felt jealous of Jang Do-yeon many times," and added, "I have to make ten jokes to get one laugh, but Do-yeon makes eight people laugh out of ten jokes. Our comedy batting averages are different."
In response, Han Hye-jin expressed her admiration for Park Na-rae, saying, "I think Park Na-rae is truly amazing. People usually can't talk about these things honestly because they're afraid they'll look strange if they show any inferiority complex."
Meanwhile, comedian Um Ji-yoon, who is loved by the MZ generation, mentioned that "different types of comedy work in different eras," prompting Park Na-rae to recall an anecdote from when she performed comedy in front of the great senior comedian Jeon Yoo-seong.
Jeon Yoo-seong, after watching Park Na-rae's comedy, remarked, "If this was during the 5th Republic, you would have been taken away." This comment has sparked curiosity about what kind of comedy it was.
The honest, unfiltered, and frustration-free counseling talk show 'Let's Be On My Side 3', featuring Han Hye-jin, Park Na-rae, Pungja, and Um Ji-yoon, can be watched every Wednesday and Thursday at midnight on the U+ Mobile TV app.
