Park Soo-hong's Wife Shares Update as Prosecutor Seeks 10-Month Sentence for Defamation Against Family Member

Park Soo-hong's wife, Kim Da-ye, recently shared updates about the defamation case against her husband's sister-in-law.

On November 11, Kim Da-ye posted an article stating that a prison sentence of 10 months has been requested for Lee, who is charged with defaming both Kim and Park. The post, shared without additional comments, sparked concern among netizens, who expressed their worries regarding the potential stress this situation could cause during her pregnancy. Many users sent supportive messages, urging her to focus on a healthy delivery.

The fifth hearing took place at the Seoul Western District Court, addressing the defamation charges against Lee, who had been accused by Park Soo-hong of spreading false claims about him and his wife. Last October, Park filed the lawsuit, alleging that Lee had made statements in a KakaoTalk group chat, claiming that he and Kim had embezzled funds and making allegations about Park’s personal life. The prosecution is now seeking a 10-month prison sentence for Lee.

Kim Da-ye married Park Soo-hong in 2021 and successfully conceived through IVF, with their daughter expected to arrive in October. The couple has shared their pregnancy journey on their YouTube channel and appeared recently on KBS 2TV's "The Return of Superman." This situation follows a prior financial dispute between Park and his family, where his brother and sister-in-law are currently being prosecuted for allegedly misappropriating earnings from Park's entertainment engagements over a decade.
