Park Jung-woon succumbed to cirrhosis of the liver on September 17, 2022, at Asan Medical Center in Seoul. Born in 1965, he spent his childhood in the United States before returning to Korea in 1989, where he began his music career. He gained fame for his collaboration with Jang Pil-soon and Oh Seok-jun on the song "When Tomorrow Comes," eventually rising to stardom with his hit "On Nights Like This" in 1991.

Over the years, Park released numerous hits, including "In the Distant Future," "Love for You Alone," and "The Memory Remains Your Eyes." His remarkable contributions to music solidified his popularity, and he appeared as a legend on KBS 2TV's "Immortal Songs" in 2017, reconnecting with his fans. Despite his ongoing dedication to music, his health deteriorated, leading to his untimely passing, which saddened many.
