Singer Jung Mi-ae Opens Up About Health Struggles Amid 'Mistrot Season 2' Concert Preparations

South Korean singer Jung Mi-ae recently attended the production presentation for the 'Mistrot Nationwide Tour Concert Season 2' in Dobong-gu, Seoul, raising excitement among fans.

This concert will feature an impressive lineup, including Jo Seung-hee, Hong Ga-in, and many more, who will showcase brand new songs along with unique collaborations that were not part of previous shows. Jung Mi-ae, who has been fighting cancer, expressed her anxiety regarding her health as she prepares for this event. She highlighted her experience of visiting a cancer center, noting that despite being told "there's nothing unusual," she still feels discomfort.

Jung Mi-ae revealed her struggles with fatigue and swollen lymph nodes, wondering when she might feel like her old self again. The singer took a hiatus in December 2021 after being diagnosed with stage 3 tongue cancer, which required major surgery to remove a third of her tongue. Following ten months of rehabilitation, she has recently made her return to the stage.

Jung Mi-ae gained significant popularity after securing the second position in the 2019 TV Chosun competition 'Mistrot', marking a major milestone in her career.
