SM Entertainment Launches Global Audition for New Girl Group

According to Korean media, SM Entertainment (hereinafter referred to as SM) is conducting a global audition for a new girl group. This is the first time SM is holding a global audition for a girl group.

SM announced on the 3rd that they have started accepting applications for the '2024 SM NEW GIRL GROUP AUDITION (SMNGG)' from the 1st of this month to introduce a new girl group.

The application period is from June 1 to June 22 and will be conducted online. Any girl born between 2005 and 2011 from anywhere in the world can apply.

The first online audition requires the submission of an introduction, vocal, and dance video. The vocal and dance songs must be chosen from the designated mission songs.

Second offline auditions will be conducted for those who pass the first round, with detailed schedules and locations to be individually notified.

The final successful candidates of SMNGG will have the opportunity to debut as members of SM's new girl group.
