Introducing the Villainous Soldier of 'Squid Game Season 2': Actor Jang Jae-ho
According to reporter Oh Seung-hyun from XportsNews, the face behind the villainous soldier in 'Squid Game Season 2' is none other than actor Jang Jae-ho.
In the recently released Netflix series 'Squid Game', which premiered on the 26th, Jang Jae-ho portrays a soldier who clashes with No-eul (played by Park Gyu-young). As a character who reveals his face among the faceless pink guards, he delivers a powerful impact with each appearance.
The second season of the Netflix series 'Squid Game' centers around Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae), who returns determined to take revenge and participate in the deadly games once again. The fierce competition between him and the Front Man (Lee Byung-hun) unfolds, along with the initiation of the real game.
Jang Jae-ho plays a character among the soldiers involved in organ trafficking. He exerts violence against No-eul, who refuses to cooperate, showcasing his wickedness as he repetitively engages in malicious acts.
Distinctively, while most soldiers remain concealed with their faces hidden, Jang Jae-ho not only reveals his face but also expresses fury towards No-eul, who becomes a hindrance to their misdeeds. His piercing, mad-eyed portrayal exudes a chilling presence, perfectly embodying a character whose maliciousness reaches new heights, thus marking his identity as a 'villainous soldier.'
Jang Jae-ho made his debut in 2008 with the play 'The Regret in That Blanket.' Since then, he has appeared in various works across genres, including plays such as 'Welcome to Oasis', 'Emergency', 'Hug', 'The Mousetrap', and dramas like 'The Vegetable Store', 'Basket Ball', 'The Wave', 'Confession', 'The Spy Who Loved Me', as well as films like 'Wolf Hunt' and 'Desperate Chase', showcasing his versatile acting skills with a range of characters.
Notably, in the tvN drama 'Marry My Husband', which concluded in February, Jang Jae-ho portrayed Lee Jae-won, the husband of Yang Ju-ran (played by Gong Min-jung). His character, a jobless man relying solely on his young age and handsome looks, indulged in games and even committed infidelity, stirring public outrage and capturing widespread attention.
Recently, Jang Jae-ho married Gong Min-jung in September and shared the joyful news of expecting a child, receiving many congratulations.
Meanwhile, 'Squid Game Season 2' has taken the world by storm, ranking number one in 93 countries immediately after its release. It is available for viewing on Netflix.
