EXO's Suho Shares Behind-the-Scenes of His Solo Activities

According to Korean media, EXO's Suho shared some behind-the-scenes stories of his solo activities.

On June 5th, Suho appeared as a guest on KBS cool FM's 'Lee Eunji's Gayo Plaza' (hereafter referred to as 'Gayo Plaza') to promote his third mini-album '1 to 3 (Dot, Line, Plane)'.

During the show, host Lee Eunji mentioned the enthusiastic reactions from fans and asked, "When fans say, 'Oppa, I skipped school to come here,' how do you respond? Do you say, 'Well done'?"

Suho replied, "I usually tell them to take care of their real lives. I don't have a lot of musical activities, so I think it's okay for them to take a couple of weeks off to focus on me." Lee Eunji admired Suho's care for his fans, saying, "Telling them to live their real lives is true love. Supporting their lives is genuine love."

Suho discussed his new album, saying, "I've been involved in the producing and writing of all the songs from the beginning. This album also features my work in producing and songwriting. I tried to capture the perspectives of love, romance, and dreams as seen through the eyes of someone in their 30s."

He also shared his thoughts about his new nickname, 'Baby Rockstar'. "I feel a bit burdened by the 'baby' part," he said. "Maybe fans see me as a baby because they've known me since I was young."

When Lee Eunji asked if he liked the nickname and if it could be used, Suho responded, "I have a nickname 'Bunny', so 'Bunny Rockstar' is fine. But I'm not sure about the 'baby' part. Fans always say I look like a baby."

Regarding his double title track 'Cheese (Feat. Wendy)', Suho explained that Red Velvet's Wendy participated in the track. "When working on the song, I thought it needed a female featuring artist who fits the school look, like a foreign exchange student. Wendy actually studied abroad and has that cheerleader vibe. It turned out she was right next to me," he said.

He continued, "I've known her for about 10 years since we were trainees. I told her, 'I made a song and I think it suits you perfectly.' She said, 'I don't even need to listen to it, I'll do it,' which was really touching."

Suho also revealed some behind-the-scenes about the song's lyrics. "Originally, the hook of 'Cheese' was in English. At that time, the lyrics 'night yanggaeng' came up. So, I thought about changing it to 'intensely like cheddar' to capture the essence of cheese. Many people who heard it said they wanted to eat cheese ramen or cheese pizza. I spent three days before recording thinking about whether to keep it in English or change it."

He also joked, "I thought maybe if I did it this way, I might get some cheese-related commercials. Ads are important, just like on the radio."

Suho talked about his recent solo concert. "I've been with SM for 19 years, and I never thought about having a solo album or concert. There weren't many solo projects back then. After receiving a lot of love for my first and second albums, the company suggested, 'Why not have a concert for the third album?'"

He also shared that his busy schedule didn't stop his members from attending his concert, and they praised him as 'the coolest,' revealing a touching behind-the-scenes story.

Suho also talked about his strict diet management. "I don't eat a lot. I avoid carbs and sodium. I usually skip carbs for dinner and had bread for breakfast today. On days when I can fit in a workout, I schedule cheat meals around my exercise."

When asked if he drinks alcohol, Suho said, "Rarely, maybe once a month," surprising everyone.
