Suspended from Musical Role Amid School Bullying Allegations, Actor Ahn Se-ha Faces Growing Controversy

South Korean actor Ahn Se-ha is facing allegations of school violence as he exits the musical "A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder."

On September 12, the production company Show Note announced that due to the recent controversies surrounding Ahn, it was determined that he could no longer meet audiences through the performance until the matter is resolved. The company, along with Ahn's agency, has mutually agreed to change his remaining casting schedule. The actor has been performing at the Gwanglim Art Center BBCH Hall but will now be replaced in upcoming shows.

The controversy began on September 9 when an individual claiming to be Ahn's classmate posted allegations in an online community, describing him as a well-known bully who had engaged in threatening behavior. Following these claims, Ahn’s agency, Funus Entertainment, strongly denied the accusations, stating they are baseless and have plans to seek legal action against false claims. This statement comes amid a growing number of similar allegations from other former classmates.

In a statement, Show Note expressed regret for any inconvenience caused to audiences due to the casting change, emphasizing that Ahn's replacement was necessary to preserve the integrity of the production. The updated casting schedule indicates that Jeong Moon-seong will take over for Ahn in performances on September 19 and 24, while Jung Sang-hoon will step in on September 27. This transition highlights the ongoing impact of the allegations on the production and Ahn's career.
