Typhoon Chaos Strikes SBS Jungle Bob's Special Episode as New Member Kim Kyung-nam Faces Hilarious Challenges in Palawan

SBS's popular variety show "Jungle Bob" is set to air a special 120-minute episode for Chuseok.

On the episode airing on the 17th, viewers will see the cast, including Ryoo Su-young, Lee Seung-yoon, Yui, and new member Kim Kyung-nam, departing for the Palawan Islands. However, their plans take a chaotic turn as a typhoon causes flight cancellations, leaving Kim Kyung-nam, experiencing his first-ever flight cancellation, in a state of panic. Lee Seung-yoon humorously hints that the show's cancellation might happen, making Kim Kyung-nam question if he's being pranked, resulting in comedic moments that resonate with viewers.

The members' struggles continue as they find themselves in a local market after being stranded near the airport. Eager to investigate the local cuisine, they encounter the traditional street food “balut,” which shocks Kim Kyung-nam, who recoils at the sight of a prematurely hatched duck egg. Lee Seung-yoon, teasingly, tells Kim Kyung-nam that he must eat it to truly join their group, raising suspense about whether Kim will overcome this culinary challenge.

Despite the turbulent weather, the members are determined to share Korean culture by preparing a feast for the local drivers who have faced difficulties due to the typhoon. Ryoo Su-young steps up to impress the finicky eaters with the essential K-food combination of “Korean pork belly and stew,” tantalizing the viewers' taste buds. A key highlight will be whether this authentic Korean cuisine will satisfy the local drivers' palates.

After overcoming many obstacles, the members finally enter the jungle in the Palawan Islands, left in awe by the stunning emerald waters and mangroves surrounding them. Discovering an array of fresh ingredients like large fish, land crabs, and sea cucumbers, the "Jungle Bob" cast is eager to see what traditional Korean dishes they can whip up using these ingredients. All eyes are on Ryoo Su-young as excitement builds over the culinary creations that await in Palawan.

"Jungle Bob" is scheduled to air at 5:30 PM on the same day.
