Urban Zakapa's Jo Hyun-ah Exits SBS Plus Show 'I Am SOLO: The After' to Focus on Year-End Concert Preparations

South Korean singer Jo Hyun-a has officially confirmed her departure from the SBS Plus and ENA reality show 'I Am SOLO: The Next Chapter' as the show's MC.

After discussions with the production team regarding her schedule, Jo decided it was time to step away from the program. Initially, the show's producers hinted that her departure might not be permanent, but following further discussions, they concluded that Jo would not return. Moving forward, she plans to focus on preparing for Urban Zakapa's year-end concert, marking a significant transition in her career.

Jo Hyun-a's exit from 'I Am SOLO: The Next Chapter' comes as the show continues to air its current episodes, with APink's Yoon Bomi stepping in as the new host. This reality show features young men and women chasing their dreams of escaping the 'Solo Nation' and exploring their love lives. Since its relaunch in July 2023, Jo has been a vibrant presence alongside fellow MCs Defconn and Kyungri, injecting humor and a fresh dynamic into the show.

After over a year and three months, Jo's departure marks the end of a significant chapter in her career. In addition to her role on the show, Jo has gained popularity on YouTube through her show 'Jo Mokbam', showcasing her unique sense of humor and engaging personality.

Recently, as Urban Zakapa celebrates its 15th anniversary, Jo has been actively involved in various projects, including a full group comeback and the release of new solo music. The group made a strong return with the single 'Ten Fingers', which reflects their musical journey through heartfelt ballads. Additionally, Jo released her first solo track in six years, titled 'I'll Give', further expanding her artistic presence.
