WJSN's DaWon Shows Support for NewJeans Amid Controversy Over Leadership Changes at Ador

WJSN's Dawon recently expressed her support for girl group NewJeans through a heartfelt social media post.

On her SNS, Dawon shared a screenshot of NewJeans' album cover featuring the phrase "Forever." The image included titles of popular tracks such as "Super Shy," "Attention," "How Sweet," and "Supernatural," igniting speculation among fans that her message was in response to a recent live broadcast by NewJeans members. This broadcast called for the return of Ador's previous CEO, Min Heejin, amidst rising tensions.

During the emergency live stream, NewJeans members openly voiced their desire for Min Heejin's reinstatement, claiming that they wanted the original Ador that combined management and production. They emphasized that this was the only way to avoid conflict with HYBE, urging Chairman Bang Si-hyuk to make a wise decision by the 25th to restore the company to its original state. The situation has drawn significant attention within the K-pop community.

In a notable revelation during the live broadcast, member Hani disclosed that a manager from another group had instructed her to "ignore" her contributions. Member Minji expressed her concerns over the lack of accountability from those involved, fearing the potential for further mistreatment. With the recent changes in leadership at Ador, the dynamics of the group and their management remain uncertain.

Recently appointed HYBE CEO Lee Jae-sang stated that they would respond calmly to the situation regarding NewJeans' live broadcast. Following the dismissal of former CEO Min Heejin on September 27, the company appointed Kim Joo-young as the new CEO. Although Ador indicated that Min would continue her role in producing NewJeans, she has publicly challenged the rationale behind her contract, suggesting ongoing tensions within the organization.
